
She was born on May 19 in a once sleepy, agricultural barangay of Sta. Maria, Bulacan-Pulong Buhangin. The second child of Nieves and Mariano Hernandez who were both farmers. She has a brother and two sisters who are successful in their chosen fields and prosperous in life, too.She attended the CM. de Jesus Memorial School in her barangay where she spent her elementary years and graduated with a strong determination to enroll in a private secondary school in the Poblacion.
However, fate had been so unkind to her that her tears glisten as they fell from her eyes when she was told that she had to stop schooling due to financial difficulty. But, this did not let her down. Her parents’ decision wasn’t a boulder on her shoulder. Instead, she did find a way to earn the much needed money.
At a very young age, she Mrs. Natividad H. San Pedro worked as a sewer in order to earn and save money so she could enroll in her dream school. For three long years, she spent her childhood in front of a sewing machine. Finally, she was able in save the much needed money for enrollment and tuition fees.
She enrolled at Sacred Heart Academy and pursued higher education at the Far Eastern University where she graduated with Bachelor of Science in Education, major in Science and minor in English.
She came back to her Alma Mater to teach and be a part of it. Since then, for thirty five years she has stayed and served the Academy with much dedication and love. The kind of service that she has rendered cannot be questioned. She has done her daily tasks in an organized and systematic way that is worthy of emulation.
The woman is blessed to have Mr. Catalino San Pedro as her belter-half who is now a National Power Corporation retiree, Their union is blessed with three children, namely, Sheryll, a chemical engineer, Shiela, a nurse and Sherwin, a college student at F.E.U.
We salute to the Head of the English Department who has inspired us. The woman who has toured Europe in 2003. The woman of dedication to her work MRS. NATIVIDAD “Ning” HERNANDEZ SAN PEDRO.
