Experiments are essential in students’ learning. Scientific inquiry involves working in the laboratory to investigate, test, verify and demonstrate scientific principles, much of the students time is spent inside the laboratory room.

Sacred Heart Academy recognizes these needs and thereby responded by providing not only one, but two science laboratory rooms fully equipped with modern equipment to ensure that all activities are performed correctly and safely.

Both laboratory rooms are located at the fourth floor, right wing of the new building. The first laboratory room is exclusively for General Science and Physics activities. Both Sciences required bigger space so that the students could perform better. The Academy has found a way to jump that hurdle; a laboratory room equivalent to two rooms was designed to such purpose. Laboratory has its own electrical outlets and installed with four long tables where the students can perform activities.

Lab 2 is designed to accommodate experiments in Biology and Chemistry. It is equipped with its own stockroom that stores various chemicals and apparatuses that the Academy purchases for maximum scientific learning. It also contains its own water source and electrical outlets and has been installed with smoke detectors/alarm. A fire exit is provided in case of emergency. A first aid kit is also accessible in case of injury.

Both laboratories are spacious and well ventilated so that students can perform their experiments comfortably and accidents could be minimized.
